  • Hello Burroughs Families,

     

    Registration begins next Monday, July 29, 2024. Please read below for important information and updates.

     

    Data confirmation assistance will be available from 8:30am-11:30am in the College and Career Center Monday July 29 - Friday, August 2.

     

    REGISTRATION DATES AND TIMES:

    Senior Registration: Monday, July 29 from 8:30am-12:30pm (last entrance at 12:15pm)

    Junior Registration: Tuesday, July 30 from 8:30am-12:30pm (last entrance at 12:15pm)

    Sophomore Registration: Wednesday, July 31 from 8:30am-12:30pm (last entrance at 12:15pm)

    Freshmen Orientation (Last Name A-L): Thursday, August 1 from 8:30am-11:00am

    Freshman Orientation (Last Name M-Z): Friday, August 2 from 8:30am-11:00am

    Make Up Registration: Monday, August 5 from 9:00am-12:00pm

     

    During Registration, students will receive their schedules, lunch passes (if they have already applied and been approved), textbooks, student store items, and be able to see their counselor (please read below for reasons why a student can see their counselor). Lunch pass and parking pass applications will be available to pick up. See Ms. Sierra in Student Services.

    READ THIS MESSAGE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU GO TO REGISTRATION

     

    REMINDER, WHAT HAS CHANGED: 

    麻豆传媒集团 is experiencing significant budget constraints for 2024-2025 that will affect the number of classes at JBHS. This means we will no longer be able to have the flexibility with schedule changes that we have enjoyed in the past.

     

    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: 

    During registration and the first two weeks of school, you will likely not be able to change your classes based on preference. 

     

    IMPORTANT: AT REGISTRATION, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO SEE COUNSELORS TO MAKE CHANGES FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS ONLY***:

     

    • You have SEE COUNSELOR on your schedule for period 8. If you see this on your schedule, you must come to the counseling office.
    • You have a schedule conflict: ex. missing an elective, you have 2 period 2's, have the wrong math level, etc.
    • You would like to change the start time of your school day (ex. period 0, period 1).
    • You would like to DROP a program or a class with a special roster (i.e. choir, ASB, yearbook, etc.)
    • You would like to ADD or DROP an AP or Honors course*
      • *NOT all AP courses will be available

     

    • You are a senior and you would like to be a TA*
      • *No guarantees. You will need to get the form signed by an AVAILABLE teacher prior to getting a schedule change during the first week of school.

     

    ***Unless extreme extenuating circumstances.

We will likely only be able to make adjustments to schedules if they are necessary for schoolwide balancing OR for a student to have a functional schedule that meets their grad requirements.
